Durant delivers deja vu ‘assassin’ dagger into Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers are on the brink of suffering an NBA Finals sweep after going down 3-0 to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night.

They did so thanks to Kevin Durant, who scored a career playoff high 43 points, including a long 3-pointer in the game's final minute that capped the victory.

Cleveland led by as many in 12 in the first quarter, but Golden State went on a 14-7 spurt after Hood entered the game for Love and went into the second down only one, 29-28. The Cavaliers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Friday games, 4-2 ATS in their last 6 vs.

Kevin Durant pushed the Golden State Warriors to dynasty's doorstep.

There was the layup he made with just over 6 minutes left to give the Warriors a one-point lead, 94-93. He has taken Cleveland to the NBA Finals now five times, and this now looks certain to be his fourth loss in those. Cleveland came back from a 3-1 deficit to stun the Warriors in the 2016 finals, but that was when Durant was in Oklahoma City and James had a different supporting cast. "I just internalise it a little bit more as I get older than I did as a younger player". "But I thought our guys did a great job of fighting and sticking to the game plan outside of a couple breakdowns here and there. But we've got to do a better job on KD". There's a good chance Andre Iguodala will be back on the court after missing Golden State's last six playoff games. When the Warriors needed a shot late on with the Cavaliers closing in, Durant drained a three-pointer to extend the lead to 106-100 50 seconds left.

Curry finished with 11 points on three-of-16 shooting, while he was one-for-10 from three-point range.

Iguodala was injured in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against the Houston Rockets.

Kevin Durant was nearly unstoppable in Game 3 - going 15-of-23 from the floor, including 6-of-9 from beyond the arc and a flawless 7-of-7 from the line, adding 13 boards, seven assists and a steal in the victory.

"We want to see each other succeed", Curry said.

Nationwide strike in Jordan as protests continue
Jordan was rocked by unrest in 2012 when the International Monetary Fund told the government to lift gasoline prices. He called for political parties, unions and civil society groups to take part in the talks.

A historic 51-point Game 1 performance from LeBron James wasn't enough to top the defending champions, and Game 2 showcased just how hard it is to beat a team with Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson all shooting the lights out.

Love ended the night with 20 points against his name while Smith added 13.

Kevin Durant drew fair criticism early in these NBA Finals because of his questionable shot-taking and overall decision-making. The Golden State Warriors are shooting 35.6 percent from beyond the arc and 81.6 percent from the free throw line. The Cavaliers never recovered, even though more than 44 minutes remained.

Kevin Durant torched the Cavaliers with a playoff-career high 43 points as the Warriors overcame a 13-point, first-half deficit to close in on their third National Basketball Association title in four seasons. None of his teammates scored more than 11. He did, in fact, made a single 3-pointer.

"Just because Golden State has won titles by constantly switching pick-and-rolls, does everyone have to do it?" He had 24 points, eight rebounds in the first half.

With less than a minute left in the first half, Iguodala went to the locker room with a right leg contusion.

By the Numbers - 110 ...

LeBron James will dunk on you, whether you like it or not. Tonight they're up 3. We're on our home floor. "That's what championship teams do". The NBPA announced their fourth annual Players' Voice Awards at 10:46 p.m. ET, during the third quarter of Game 3 of The Finals ... a fantastic game, by the way.
