Police capture lions, tigers, jaguar after escaping from zoo

Three lion cubs were born on April 14, 2018 at the zoo.
Two tigers, two lions, a jaguar and a bear escaped their enclosures at a German zoo Friday morning, leading authorities there to put residents of the city on alert in case any of the animals left the park.
Thunderstorms had sparked flash floods in the area overnight and completely flooded the private zoo, which is located on a riverbank. Police say they are responding the situation but now have no further details.
Officers in nearby Trier said all of the escaped animals were believed to still be on the grounds of the zoo in the town of Luenebach, near the border with Luxembourg and Belgium.

In 2015, an orang-utan was shot dead while on the run from the Duisburg zoo, and a bear escapee from Osnabrueck suffered the same fate in 2017.
