Chelsea FC are prepared to sell Thibaut Courtois and sign Liverpool FC target Alisson Becker, according to a report in Italy.

The Belgian only has a year left to run on his contract at Stamford Bridge and is looking increasingly unlikely to put pen to paper on an extension, something which leaves Chelsea in a tricky situation.

Real Madrid are also firm admirers of Courtois and could look to tempt him back to the Spanish capital, where he had a spell on loan at Atletico Madrid.

The Brazilian is expected to command a fee of around £60million with Liverpool and Real Madrid also interested. Not only did the Blues fail to secure Champions League football, manager Antonio Conte's future is up in the air, and plans for their new world-class stadium have been put on hold after Abramovich was denied work permit in the UK.

In recent weeks, Alisson had emerged as an option, with Courtois and David de Gea believed to be inaccessible.

According to the same story, Chelsea FC have already made contact with the 25-year-old about a potential deal after Courtois made it clear that his time is up at Stamford Bridge.

Not hanging around at Chelsea any longer? The Belgian's contract expires in the summer of 2019 and, despite being in negotiations for several months, the Blues still appear to be some way away from tying down their long-standing number one.

Sky in Italy report that it's the Brazilian global 'keeper Alisson who's being lined up as a replacement.
