A three-judge bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra, dismissed the petition filed by Sunil Singh, the petitioner in the case.

Though initial reports claimed she had died of a heart attack, however, Dubai police later clarified that her death was "due to accidental drowning after loss of consciousness".

The untimely and sad death of Indian icon Sridevi has again hit the headlines after Supreme Court rejected a filmmaker's plea seeking an investigation into the actress' death.

He also ranks third in mid-danger SP, only narrowly behind his conference final competition, Hellebuyck, for second spot. He said it would probably be a team relocation as is happening with the Oakland Raiders upcoming move to Las Vegas.

She had gone to Dubai to attend a family wedding.

Reportedly, earlier Sunil Singh had filed a plea in Delhi High Court but the court rejected the petition claiming that the authorities in India and Dubai have already looked into the incident. When he heard about Sridevi's death, he allegedly spoke to the hotel and hospital staff where the late actress was taken. Hence, let's what Supreme Court will say on Sunil Singh's plea. According to sources, he informed the court that his plea for an investigation of Sridevi's death pertained to national interest.

Petitioner's lawyer, Vikas Singh had also argued that Sridevi had a Rs 240 crore insurance policy in her name in Oman and the money could be released only if she died in UAE.
