From the outside, it looks pretty much like a standard soundbar, frankly.

Machine learning is today's watchword, and Google states, "Our systems will evaluate all available signals and use machine learning to predict the likelihood of a search query to convert so you can make the most of your budget across networks, products, and audiences".

Now that we know Android Wear isn't dead, maybe Google's watch project has some life, too. Also, a separate leak indicates that it will enable gesture navigation similar to the iPhone X. But more certainly, we're hoping to finally learn what dessert-themed name the Mountain View-based tech giant is going for with Android "P".

About a month ago, we saw rumored images of a new 4K Chromecast like Android TV dongle through the FCC (which has been taken down since). The companies had first announced the partnership in 2017, when Volvo had announced that its new-generation infotainment system, Sensus, will be based on Android.

Google I/O 2018, this year's version of the annual developer conference, is just around the corner, promising the latest updates for the various platforms and technology of Google. Developing a secure, automotive-grade platform hasn't been easy for Google. However, third-party manufacturers have been snapping up Chrome OS and baking it into their new tablets, and that's a good thing for everyone. Google might also be looking towards overhauling the Bluetooth stack in the Chrome OS. With Asus and HP making their way to store their impressive products shelves this year, we're nearly definitely going to see Chrome OS get some attention on the I/O event.

Google officials said the spinoffs have momentum.

Google announced back in 2016 with the unveiling of Android Things that this would be a way for the company to handle some of the software present in these devices as well as set down the underlying intelligence features.

"OK Volvo play me more songs by Siouxsie and the Banshees and find the nearest Natural Grocers".

Google I/O starts on May 8 at 10 AM (PT); the event schedule can be found online and the Google Developers YouTube channel will be covering the event.
