"Go back Modi" Chennai screams as people protest with black flags

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) floated a black balloon with the slogan "Modi Go Back" ' as a sign of their protest against Modi Government for not constituting the Cauvery Management Board (CMB).

To make the "Gram Swaraj Abhiyan" successful, Modi asked all the party public representatives to go from people to people and village to village to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach women, farmers and poor people.

The Prime Minister will then visit the Cancer Research Institute in Adyar where he will inaugurate its Diamond Jubilee building.

As per the schedule devised by BJP, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will observe fast in Chennai, Minister of State (External Affairs) MJ Akbar will be in Vidisha; while Tourism minister K J Alphons will observe the fast in Kerala. The idea was proposed by DMK working president MK Stalin.

Along with Modi, the delegation also met with the Minister of Commerce and Industry Suresh Prabhu, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad and the Minister of State for External Affairs M.J. Akbar to discuss trade, strategic partnerships, immigration and security coordination. The Prime Minister will be accompanied by a slew of BJP leaders who will be observing fast too, at different parts of the country.
