The first, and largest, of the two recalls involves around 350,000 F-150s, heavy duty trucks and Expedition SUVs.
The recall involves certain 2018 F-650 and F-750 vehicles equipped with 6-speed automatic transmissions and 2018 Ford F-150 and Expedition vehicles equipped with 10-speed automatic transmissions.
The company says a driver might be able to shift into park and remove the key while the transmission is in another gear, allowing unintended movement.
According to the Michigan-based company, the "clip that locks the gearshift cable to the transmission may not be fully seated", so the gear state selected by the driver might actually be in a different position. The FCA recall problem was a transmission shifter position indicator that didn't reflect the actual gear the vehicle was in. There is no instrument panel warning message or warning chime when the driver's door is opened that indicates the vehicle is not secured in park.
Also, despite selecting "Park", if the parking brake is not applied before the vehicle is exited, the vehicle may roll.

Ford said it knows of one reported accident and injury related to the issue.
About 161 of these vehicles with 10R80 transmissions may have a missing transmission roll pin.
For full lists of the affected vehicles please see the official Ford recall notice.
In mid-March, Ford issued a recall for 1.4 million of its cars in North America, saying that because of issues with the steering wheel bolts, the steering wheel could detach.
Dealers will inspect the vehicles and fix the problem for free. The vehicles were built at Ford truck plants in Dearborn, Mich., Kansas City, Kentucky and Ohio. The Ford reference number for this recall is 18S09. Ford employs approximately 202,000 people worldwide.
