DNA test reveals a woman's biological father was her parents' fertility doctor

The test determined she was instead the daughter of a former fertility doctor who lived in Idaho.

A U.S. woman is suing a fertility doctor after discovering through an online ancestry website the man had secretly fathered her.

Ms Rowlette is accusing Dr Mortimer, who later also delivered her, of making false statements to her parents about following their wishes and never revealing he was the biological father.

After agreeing to pay Dr. Mortimer to perform the specified procedure, Dr. Mortimer collected genetic material from Mr. Fowler to perform the procedure over several sessions. They even chose the donor profile, a college student higher than 1.80, with brown hair and blue eyes, as the BBC broadcasts.

Rowlette was reportedly unaware her parents had turned to artificial insemination after struggling to conceive.

The lawsuit claims that Dr Mortimer falsely claimed he had provided Ms Ashby with a mixture of her husband's sperm and that of matching donors.

"Dr. Mortimer knew Kelli Rowlette was his biological daughter but did not disclose this to Ms. Ashby or Mr. Fowler", the complaint said.

The truth remained hidden until July 2017, when Rowlette received a notification from Ancestry.com that a DNA sample she had submitted matched with Dr. Mortimer's DNA sample, and predicted their parent-child relationship.

United Nations seeks access to Syrians in eastern Ghouta's Douma
The buses are now waiting on the Harasta highway nearby for the militants to settle their dispute. Douma is a stronghold of the powerful Army of Islam rebel group.

Kelli Rowlette filed a lawsuit last week against Dr. Gerald Mortimer, his wife Linda McKinnon Mortimer, and the Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates of Idaho Falls. But she "discovered her birth certificate had been signed by Dr. Mortimer", and she was "horrified and contacted her parents in a panic", according to the suit.

When Kelli Rowlette took a DNA from Ancestry.com, she hoped to find out about her genealogical history.

Though Ashby and Fowler had their suspicions after Rowlette told them the Ancestry.com results, they did not divulge everything to her right away. The family believes he knew he was Rowlette's biological father.

She told her mother that the test hadn't worked and Ms Ashby realised she recognised the name that had been identified, according to the legal papers.

Meanwhile, Rowlette was unaware of what transpired until October, when she found old paperwork at Fowler's house.

"However with this, people may learn of unexpected connections". Mortimer apparently thought it was okay to use himself as a donor without telling the couple what he did. "With Ancestry, customers maintain ownership and control over their DNA data".

This isn't the first time a male doctor has been accused of using his own sperm in a fertility treatment procedure. It must be a mistake, she tells her mom - who takes a look at the name on her own time and is completely "devastated", the lawsuit says.
